About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Manager to oversee construction projects in the vibrant city of Aberdeen . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of building sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This pivotal role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational skills and a deep understanding of construction processes, working closely with contractors, architects, and clients to bring ambitious building plans to fruition and contributing to the development of the local infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead significant projects in a region known for its dynamic industrial and commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed project schedules and work plans .
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities and personnel, including subcontractors.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to building codes.
- Control project costs and manage the procurement of materials and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular progress reports and addressing any site-specific issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar construction management role.
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, regulations , and best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant construction qualifications or certifications (e.g., SMSTS).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
