Site Manager

We are working with a well-established and reputable residential groundworks contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their growing team.

The company has an excellent track record delivering groundworks and infrastructure packages across major residential developments, working with a range of established housebuilders.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who is looking to join a stable business with a strong pipeline of work.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of residential groundworks projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day delivery of residential groundworks packages

• Supervising site teams, subcontractors and plant

• Managing drainage, roads, sewers, foundations and infrastructure works

• Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme requirements

• Coordinating labour, plant and materials

• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality

• Liaising with clients, main contractors and other project stakeholders

• Monitoring progress and reporting against programme

• Ensuring RAMS and site documentation are adhered to

• Managing site records and addressing any issues that arise

• Working closely with Contracts Managers and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential groundworks

• Strong knowledge of groundworks and civil engineering

• Experience working on residential developments / new-build housing projects

• Good understanding of drainage, roads, sewers, foundations and infrastructure

• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams

• Strong understanding of health & safety and quality requirements

• Ability to manage programmes and deliver works to deadlines

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Relevant site qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid

Experience with Section 38, Section 104, adoptable drainage, roads & sewers and infrastructure works would be highly advantageous.
