Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Site Manager to oversee construction projects in and around Leicester . This pivotal role involves managing daily site operations, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will be the primary point of contact on site, coordinating with various trades, subcontractors, and stakeholders to achieve project milestones. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage day-to-day construction site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety regulations on site, conducting regular inspections and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement effective solutions to keep the project on track.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, safety reports, and progress updates for project management.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure work is completed to the highest standards and meets all specifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar construction management role.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building regulations, and health and safety best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills .
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS card, and First Aid at Work are essential.
