Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee construction projects in and around Leicester . This critical role involves ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the primary point of contact on-site, managing day-to-day operations, coordinating subcontractors, and liaising with project managers and clients. We are looking for a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of construction processes and a commitment to excellence in project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Implement and enforce rigorous health and safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
• Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain detailed site records, including progress reports, accident logs, and material procurement.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and project managers to resolve site issues and technical queries promptly.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets the highest industry standards and client expectations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar construction management role.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety legislation, and construction best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
• CSCS card or equivalent certification is essential.
• Proficiency in construction management software is a plus.
