We are looking for a Site Manager to provide short-term site cover on a project in Carlisle.
This is a straightforward site-management assignment. The client is not looking for somebody with highly specialised project experience. The priority is finding a reliable manager with the correct qualifications who can be present on site each day, open and close the site and ensure works are carried out safely.
You will be overseeing a small team of contractors carrying out their works, maintaining general site standards and acting as the responsible Site Manager on site.
Duties will include:
- Opening and closing the site each day
- Overseeing day-to-day site activities
- Ensuring contractors are working safely and in accordance with site procedures
- Maintaining good housekeeping and general site standards
- Monitoring health and safety compliance
- Carrying out site inductions and briefings where required
- Reviewing RAMS and permits as necessary
- Liaising with the Project Manager and site contractors
- Keeping basic site records and reporting progress
- Ensuring the site is left safe and secure at the end of each shift
A civils or groundworks background would be advantageous, but it is not essential for this assignment.
Essential requirements:
- SMSTS
- First Aid at Work
- Fire Marshal / Fire Warden qualification
- Previous experience working as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor
- Available to start Monday 2 November
- Able to commit to the full 3-week assignment
- Reliable and comfortable taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site
This would suit an experienced Site Manager who is between projects, available immediately and looking for a short-term assignment close to Carlisle.
Please apply with an up-to-date CV and confirm your availability and current qualifications
