Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee construction projects in and around Leicester . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of building sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction processes, health, and safety regulations. You will be the primary point of contact on site, coordinating trades, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve project milestones effectively and maintain the highest standards of workmanship and safety throughout the build lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule all construction activities, including sequencing and resource allocation.
• Supervise and direct site personnel, including subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Manage site logistics, including material delivery, plant hire, and waste disposal.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project objectives are met.
• Implement and enforce health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments and toolbox talks.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and health and safety legislation (e.g., CSCS card).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
