About the Role

Our client, a well-established engineering business in Plymouth, is seeking a Site Supervisor to manage and coordinate site activities. This role involves leading site operations to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently, while adhering to Health & Safety standards. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers and subcontractors to maintain high-quality project delivery. _______________________________________________________________________________________________

The Role

• Plan, supervise and coordinate site activities involving company personnel, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all personnel work in accordance with Health & Safety policies, risk assessments and method statements.
• Liaise with Project Managers, clients and subcontractors, escalating issues where required.
• Maintain project documentation, site equipment, vehicles, and working areas to company standards. _______________________________________________________________________________________________

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a Site Supervisor, Site Foreman or similar construction/engineering leadership role.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Ability to lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. _______________________________________________________________________________________________

Essential Experience

• Previous experience in a Site Supervisor, Site Foreman or similar construction/engineering leadership role. _______________________________________________________________________________________________

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Ability to lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

• Experience within fabrication, structural steelwork, engineering or industrial projects.
• Relevant site-based qualifications such as SSSTS, SMSTS or CSCS.
• Experience working on projects involving welding, refurbishment or industrial installations. _______________________________________________________________________________________________
