Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and support to clients in their own homes or in residential settings, respecting their dignity and privacy.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and domestic tasks.
• Monitor and record clients' progress, changes in condition, and any significant events, reporting back to supervisors and healthcare professionals.
• Encourage and support clients in engaging with community activities, social visits, and personal interests to promote independence and reduce isolation.
• Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and timely delivery, and maintaining detailed records.
• Collaborate effectively with families, carers, and other support services to ensure a holistic approach to care planning and delivery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a social care or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• A caring, patient, and empathetic attitude towards individuals requiring support.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and complete mandatory training, including safeguarding and first aid.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required for community-based roles.
