Social Media Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to oversee their online presence in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging social media strategies across various platforms to increase brand visibility, build community, and drive engagement. This role requires a strong understanding of social media trends, content creation, and community management. You will work closely with the marketing team to ensure all social media activities align with the company's brand and marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with marketing goals and brand voice.
• Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (text, image, video) for all relevant social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
• Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and user-generated content, engaging with followers and responding to inquiries.
• Analyze social media performance metrics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate regular reports on engagement, reach, and ROI.
• Identify and build relationships with relevant influencers and brand advocates.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, platform updates, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a portfolio of successful social media campaigns.
• In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices.
• Excellent content creation, copywriting, and visual storytelling skills.
• Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and how social media fits into the broader marketing strategy.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
