About the Role
Our client in Edinburgh is seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Marketing Lead to join their team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing innovative social media strategies that enhance brand presence, drive engagement, and support business objectives. You will lead the social media team, manage content calendars, and oversee the creation of compelling social content across various platforms. This hybrid role offers the chance to shape our client's social media narrative within a collaborative office environment, while enjoying the flexibility of some remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with marketing and business goals.
- Manage and grow the company's presence across key social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok).
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging and high-quality content, including text, images, and video.
- Monitor social media trends, conversations, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations.
- Analyze social media performance data, track KPIs, and generate regular reports to optimize strategies.
- Engage with the online community, respond to comments and messages, and foster positive relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
Requirements
- Proven experience (4+ years) in social media marketing, with a track record of successfully growing social channels and engagement.
- In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.
- Strong content creation skills, including copywriting, basic graphic design, and video editing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
