About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and innovative Social Media Marketing Manager to lead their social media strategy from their Southampton base. This role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, audience engagement, and content creation to build a strong online community and drive brand loyalty. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media campaigns that align with overall marketing objectives and contribute to business growth in the Southampton area and nationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across all relevant platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).
• Create, curate, and manage engaging, high-quality content (text, image, video) tailored to each platform and audience.
• Monitor social media channels for industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
• Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance analysis.
• Build and nurture relationships with influencers and brand advocates.
• Analyze social media metrics, report on key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in social media marketing, with a proven track record of growing social media presence.
• Excellent understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
• Strong content creation skills, including copywriting and basic graphic design/video editing abilities.
• Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms.
• Ability to develop and execute paid social media campaigns.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
