Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with clients and relevant stakeholders.
- Provide direct support, advice, and advocacy for children and their families.
- Liaise with other professionals, including teachers, healthcare providers, and legal representatives.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records in line with organisational policies and legal requirements.
- Participate in case conferences and court proceedings as required.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree (e.g., BA/BSc in Social Work).
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Excellent understanding of relevant legislation and social care frameworks.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex caseloads.
