Solar PV Installation Supervisor

About the Role

Our client requires a proactive and experienced Solar PV Installation Supervisor for their operations in and around Southampton . This hybrid role involves both on-site supervision of installation teams and remote coordination to ensure the efficient and safe deployment of solar photovoltaic systems. You will be responsible for managing daily operations, overseeing quality control, and ensuring all installations meet stringent safety and technical standards. This is a key field-based role for someone with a passion for renewable energy and a proven ability to lead teams effectively, contributing to the company’s mission of expanding solar energy adoption across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage on-site solar PV installation teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Oversee the quality of installations, including panel mounting, wiring, and inverter setup.
• Conduct site assessments and manage the logistics of materials and equipment delivery.
• Train and mentor installation staff, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure project milestones are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience (3+ years) in supervising solar PV installations or similar construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar panel technology, electrical systems, and safety regulations.
• Certification in solar installation or a related trade is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing both field and remote tasks.
