Sous Chef - Events

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for events in Leeds . You will play a key role in daily kitchen operations, assisting with menu planning, food preparation, and team supervision. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in menu development, costing, and execution for all catered events.
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and preparation standards.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and ordering of ingredients to minimize waste and control costs.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen.
• Deputize for the Head Chef in their absence, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a similar role.
• Strong culinary skills across various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
• Good understanding of food cost control and inventory management.
• Commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards.
