About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join their innovative remote education team. This role is crucial in ensuring that children with special educational needs receive the tailored support and resources they require to thrive academically and personally. You will work closely with families, educators, and external specialists to develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs), monitor progress, and advocate for the needs of each child. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
• Liaise with parents, teachers, external agencies, and specialists to coordinate support services.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices for SEND provision.
• Provide training and guidance to teaching staff on supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student support and progress.

Requirements

• Recognised SENCO qualification or equivalent experience in SEND coordination.
• Proven experience working with children with a range of special educational needs.
• Strong understanding of the UK SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload effectively in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and virtual collaboration tools.
