SEND Tutor - Runcorn

Location: Runcorn Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing

Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced SEND Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a young learner in Runcorn.

This role would suit a patient and adaptable educator who can create engaging lessons around the learner's individual needs and help them build confidence in their education.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition Plan lessons based on individual learning needs Adapt resources and teaching approaches Encourage engagement and positive learning habits Support academic progress and confidence Monitor and report on learner development

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people Previous experience supporting learners with SEND Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patient, flexible and encouraging approach Teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience desirable Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references
