About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Specialist Cleaning Technician to perform advanced cleaning and decontamination services for various clients in Reading and the surrounding areas. This role involves tackling challenging cleaning tasks that require specific expertise, such as biohazard cleanup, post-construction cleaning, or deep sanitization of sensitive environments. Key Responsibilities

• Execute specialized cleaning procedures, including disinfection, decontamination, and sanitization of complex environments.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in compliance with regulations.
• Operate specialized cleaning equipment, such as ozone generators, steam cleaners, and high-containment systems.
• Conduct site assessments to determine the scope of cleaning required and appropriate methodologies.
• Ensure all cleaning activities meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of cleaning services performed, including safety checks and material usage.

Requirements

• Proven experience in specialist cleaning, biohazard remediation, or industrial sanitation.
• Certification or training in relevant cleaning disciplines (e.g., IICRC, BICSc).
• Strong knowledge of chemical agents, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety protocols for hazardous environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a specialized team, often in challenging conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt cleaning strategies to specific situations.
