Specialist Recruitment Consultant - Sales Career

Recruitment Consultant - Sales Career

Belfast City Centre £26,500-£30,000 + uncapped commission

Hybrid working following initial training

Ambitious? Commercially minded? Looking for a career where your effort directly impacts your success?

MCS Group is looking for driven, people-focused individuals with the potential to become exceptional Recruitment Consultants. You don't need previous recruitment experience. In fact, some of our most successful consultants joined us from backgrounds in sales, customer service, business development, retail, hospitality and other client-facing roles.

What matters most is your confidence, resilience, curiosity and willingness to build relationships. We want people who are motivated by progression, responsibility and the opportunity to increase their earnings.

Let's be clear: recruitment is a sales career.

You'll identify new business opportunities, build relationships with clients and candidates, negotiate deals and become a trusted expert within a specialist professional market. You'll spend time on the phone, develop commercial skills and learn how to build a successful client portfolio.

You'll hear "no", face challenges and be expected to stay focused and proactive. In return, you'll have the opportunity to build a highly rewarding career with one of Northern Ireland's leading recruitment businesses, with clear progression and uncapped earning potential.

We'll provide the training, coaching, technology and market expertise needed to succeed. You bring the ambition, work ethic and determination to build your career. Whether you're currently working in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality or another fast-paced environment, this could be the opportunity to transform your potential into a successful recruitment career.

What you will do

You will learn how to build and manage your own specialist recruitment market, including:

• Speaking to candidates, clients and prospective customers every day
• Generating leads through calls, email, LinkedIn and networking
• Building relationships with professionals and business leaders
• Identifying commercial opportunities and developing new business
• Sourcing, interviewing and representing high-quality candidates
• Advising clients on talent, salaries and hiring decisions
• Managing recruitment processes from first conversation to successful offer
• Working towards clear performance and revenue targets
• Taking ownership of your development and results

The mindset we hire for

Your degree may open the door, but your mindset will determine what you achieve.

We are looking for graduates who are:

• Hungry: You want to achieve more and are prepared to work for it.
• Confident: You are comfortable starting conversations and using the phone.
• Curious: You ask good questions and want to understand people and businesses.
• Coachable: You seek feedback and quickly put it into practice.
• Resilient: You can handle rejection and bounce back from setbacks.
• Commercial: You recognise opportunities and understand that results matter.
• Accountable: You take ownership rather than waiting to be directed.
• Competitive but ethical: You want to win-and do it in the right way.

You may have developed these qualities through a placement year, part-time job, sport, volunteering, society leadership, travel or another experience that pushed you outside your comfort zone.

Experience is useful. Potential and mindset are essential.

Learn fast. Perform. Progress.

From your first day, you will receive structured training in recruitment, sales, business development, technology and your specialist market.

You will learn through workshops, coaching, live calls and regular feedback from experienced recruiters and leaders. You will be supported-but expected to take responsibility for your learning and performance.

As your capability grows, so will your responsibilities, career opportunities and earning potential.
