Sports Development Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and community-minded Sports Development Officer to join their team in Reading . This role operates on a hybrid model, combining essential work within the community and local facilities with remote administrative and planning duties. You will be instrumental in promoting sports participation, developing new programmes, and engaging with local schools, clubs, and community groups. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement sports development programmes to increase participation and engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local sports clubs, schools, and community organizations.
• Identify funding opportunities and assist in writing grant applications to support sports initiatives.
• Organize and deliver sports events, workshops, and coaching sessions.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of development programmes, reporting on outcomes and recommendations.
• Promote sports and physical activity through various communication channels, including social media and local press.

Requirements
