This role is crucial in developing and delivering a diverse range of sports programmes and initiatives that cater to all age groups and abilities within the community. You will work collaboratively with local schools, clubs, and organisations to increase engagement in physical activity and promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage a variety of community sports development programmes.
- Engage with local stakeholders, including schools, sports clubs, and community groups, to promote participation.
- Identify opportunities to increase access to sports and physical activity, particularly for under-represented groups.
- Organise and deliver sports events, festivals, and competitions within Sunderland .
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of sports development initiatives, providing reports on progress and outcomes.
- Seek funding and sponsorship opportunities to support sports development projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sports development, community engagement, or a related field.
