Sports Event Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organized and proactive Sports Event Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Milton Keynes . This role is crucial in planning, executing, and managing a variety of sports events, from local tournaments to larger regional competitions. You will work closely with stakeholders, vendors, and volunteers to ensure seamless event delivery, focusing on participant experience and operational efficiency. The hybrid nature of this role allows for a blend of in-office planning and on-site event management, offering a flexible approach to coordinating successful sporting gatherings.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage all logistical aspects of sports events, including venue booking, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, caterers, security, and other vendors to ensure smooth event operations.
• Develop event marketing materials and promote events to target audiences.
• Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
• Liaise with participants, officials, and volunteers before, during, and after events.
• Oversee on-site event execution, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a positive experience for all attendees.

Requirements

• Experience in event planning or coordination, preferably within the sports or leisure industry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
