About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Sports Facilities Operations Manager to oversee their premier sports complex in Manchester . You will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all facilities, ensuring a safe, high-quality environment for athletes, staff, and visitors. This leadership role requires strong operational acumen, financial oversight, and a commitment to excellence within the Leisure & Sports sector. You will manage a diverse team and play a key role in the strategic development of the venue.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of sports facilities, including scheduling, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs and maximizing revenue opportunities.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of facility staff, including groundskeepers, technicians, and administrative personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and licensing regulations.
• Oversee the procurement and maintenance of all facility equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in sports facility management or a similar operational leadership role.
• Proven track record in budget management and financial oversight.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to sports facilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and diverse teams in a busy environment.
