About the Role
Our client seeks a highly organized and proactive Sports Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and efficient running of multiple sports venues in Manchester . This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing budgets, leading operational teams, and ensuring facilities meet the highest standards for athletes and the public. You will play a critical role in operational planning, event support, and ensuring all infrastructure is maintained to support a diverse range of sporting activities. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of sports facilities, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects for all venue infrastructure.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for revenue enhancement.
- Coordinate with event organizers, sports teams, and community groups to meet their facility needs.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within sports facilities or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of building maintenance, health and safety standards, and event logistics.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in budget management and financial oversight.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational demands.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in facilities management, sports management, or a related field is desirable.
