About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and empathetic Sports Massage Therapist to join their health and wellness clinic in Norwich . This role is dedicated to providing therapeutic massage services to athletes and individuals seeking to improve physical function, recover from injuries, and enhance their overall well-being. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver high-quality massage therapy. This position is integral to our commitment to supporting the Leisure & Sports community through effective rehabilitation and performance enhancement services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of clients' physical condition, identifying areas of tension, pain, and dysfunction.
- Develop and implement individualized sports massage treatment plans tailored to client goals, such as injury recovery, performance improvement, or pain management.
- Administer various massage techniques, including deep tissue, sports massage, and myofascial release, to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
- Educate clients on injury prevention strategies, stretching, and rehabilitation exercises.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting treatments and progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists and coaches, to ensure integrated client care.
Requirements
- Certified qualification in Sports Massage Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience as a Sports Massage Therapist, working with athletes or active individuals.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
- Proficiency in a range of massage techniques and therapeutic approaches.
- Excellent client assessment and communication skills.
