About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Sports Physiotherapist to join their dynamic team in Reading . You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletes, helping them recover from injuries and improve their performance. This role requires a strong clinical understanding of sports-related injuries and a proactive approach to injury prevention. You will work closely with coaches, trainers, and athletes to provide comprehensive care and support, ensuring optimal physical well-being for all involved in sports activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of sports injuries, diagnosing conditions and developing appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide hands-on physiotherapy treatment, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation techniques.
- Educate athletes and coaches on injury prevention strategies, training load management, and safe exercise practices.
- Collaborate with the wider sports science and medical team to ensure a holistic approach to athlete care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, documenting progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements and research in sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Requirements
- Degree in Physiotherapy recognized by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Current registration with the HCPC and CSP membership.
- Post-graduate qualifications or extensive experience in sports physiotherapy is highly desirable.
- Excellent clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and manual therapy skills.
- Strong understanding of sports biomechanics and injury mechanisms.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with athletes and multidisciplinary teams.
