Steel Processing Operative

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Steel Processing Operative to join a busy steel processing company. This is a hands-on, physical role involving handling steel materials, operating machinery and supporting the day-to-day running of the production area.

Duties

*

Loading and unloading steel materials onto machinery.

*

Cutting steel materials to the required sizes.

*

Assisting with steel processing and production operations.

*

Using an overhead crane to move materials safely, with full training provided.

*

Moving and handling materials around the workplace.

*

Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

*

Following health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

*

Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing, metalwork or a similar hands-on role is beneficial.

*

Comfortable with physical work and handling heavy materials.

*

Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.

*

Able to follow instructions and work safely as part of a team.

*

Happy to work the 2pm–10pm shift.

*

Own transport is essential.

*
