About the Role
Our client is searching for a qualified and experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach to join their performance team in Oxford . This role focuses on designing and implementing tailored physical preparation programs for athletes, aimed at enhancing performance, preventing injuries, and promoting long-term athletic development. You will work closely with athletes and sports teams, utilising scientific principles to optimise their physical capabilities. This is a challenging and rewarding position for a dedicated professional passionate about athletic performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver evidence-based strength and conditioning programs for individual athletes and teams.
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- Educate athletes on proper lifting techniques, injury prevention strategies, and recovery protocols.
- Monitor athlete progress and adjust training plans accordingly, ensuring optimal development.
- Collaborate with coaches, sports scientists, and medical staff to provide holistic athlete support.
Requirements
- Accredited Strength and Conditioning qualification (e.g., CSCS, UKSCA).
- Proven experience in coaching athletes across various sports and performance levels.
- In-depth knowledge of biomechanics, exercise physiology, and sports nutrition.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training schedules.
