About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Structural Civil Engineer to join their busy engineering team in Sheffield . This role focuses on the structural design aspects of civil engineering projects, including buildings, bridges, and other load-bearing structures. You will be responsible for developing robust structural designs, performing complex calculations, and ensuring the integrity and safety of all structural elements. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design for a variety of civil engineering projects, including buildings, bridges, and infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and design calculations using relevant software.
• Ensure designs comply with current UK Building Regulations, Eurocodes, and other relevant standards.
• Collaborate with other engineers and architects to integrate structural designs with overall project plans.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site inspections and addressing design queries.
• Assess existing structures and recommend appropriate repair or strengthening solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Robot Structural Analysis).
• Strong understanding of concrete, steel, and masonry design principles.
• Familiarity with UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
