Structural Engineer - Building Design

About the Role

Our client seeks a talented Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Coventry , contributing to the design and analysis of a variety of building structures. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety, integrity, and efficiency of building designs, collaborating with architects and construction teams to bring innovative projects to life. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for new build and refurbishment projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
• Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using advanced engineering software.
• Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any structural issues that may arise.
• Review shop drawings and technical submittals from contractors to ensure compliance with design intent.
• Stay abreast of the latest building codes, standards, and innovative structural engineering techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in building structures design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or similar.
• Good understanding of steel, concrete, and masonry design principles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
