About the Role
Our client seeks a talented Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Coventry , contributing to the design and analysis of a variety of building structures. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety, integrity, and efficiency of building designs, collaborating with architects and construction teams to bring innovative projects to life. This hybrid position allows for a blend of in-office collaboration and remote work, offering flexibility while maintaining team cohesion. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for new build and refurbishment projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
- Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using advanced engineering software.
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any structural issues that may arise.
- Review shop drawings and technical submittals from contractors to ensure compliance with design intent.
- Stay abreast of the latest building codes, standards, and innovative structural engineering techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in building structures design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or similar.
- Good understanding of steel, concrete, and masonry design principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
