About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to enhance their building design team in Liverpool . This role involves contributing to the structural integrity and safety of a wide range of building projects, from residential developments to commercial complexes. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to deliver innovative and practical structural solutions. The position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of structural principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake structural analysis and design for various building types using industry-standard software.
- Produce detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for construction.
- Collaborate with architects and other consultants to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions.
- Perform site visits to monitor construction progress and address any structural queries or issues.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations, codes, and standards.
- Assist in the technical review of designs and proposals from contractors and suppliers.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in structural design for buildings.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Robot Structural Analysis, Tekla Structural Designer).
- Knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design principles.
- Strong understanding of UK building codes and standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
