Structural Engineer - New Builds

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and innovative Structural Engineer to join their expanding team, focusing on new build projects across Glasgow and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for designing and overseeing the structural integrity of various building projects, ensuring they are safe, compliant, and cost-effective. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality structural solutions that form the backbone of new developments, contributing to the city's evolving architectural landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for new build projects, including buildings and other structures.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using relevant software.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, and site teams to ensure structural designs are implemented correctly.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve any structural issues that arise.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Provide technical advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Structural Engineer , with a focus on new build construction .
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, STAAD.Pro).
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and relevant codes.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
