About the Role

Our client, a leading engineering consultancy in the construction sector , is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join their vibrant team in Manchester . You will be responsible for the design and analysis of structural elements for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong grasp of structural mechanics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects and contractors. Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyse building structures using appropriate software and engineering principles.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports for structural elements.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Undertake structural assessments and provide recommendations for existing buildings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Structural Engineer , with a portfolio of diverse projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer) and CAD tools.
• In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and relevant British Standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
