Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for new builds, extensions, and refurbishments.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with architects and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Undertake structural investigations and produce reports for existing buildings.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations and British Standards .
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Professional registration with a relevant body (e.g., IStructE, ICE).
- Proven experience in structural design across various construction types.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro , Tekla Structural Designer, or similar.
- Strong understanding of materials science and construction methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
