Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for new build and refurbishment projects using industry-standard software.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports for structural components.
• Conduct site visits to inspect ongoing construction work and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate with project teams, including architects and M&E engineers, to resolve design and construction issues.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations, British Standards, and other statutory requirements.
• Review designs produced by junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in structural engineering design within the construction sector.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer) and CAD software.
• Thorough understanding of UK building regulations and design codes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
