About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join their established team in Belfast . You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other consultants to bring complex structures to life, contributing to the vibrant built environment of Northern Ireland . Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for new builds, refurbishments, and extensions across various sectors (commercial, residential, industrial).
• Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Undertake structural surveys and assessments of existing buildings, providing reports and recommendations.
• Ensure all structural designs meet current building regulations, British Standards, and health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards professional qualification (e.g., MIStructE, MICE).
• Proven experience in structural design, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, Robot Structural Analysis) and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and clear, concise communication skills.
