About the Role
Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join their expanding team in Belfast . This role involves the design and analysis of structural elements for a variety of building projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments. You will work collaboratively with architects, project managers, and contractors to ensure the structural integrity and safety of buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented engineer to contribute to innovative projects and further develop their expertise in structural design, working remotely with a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations for various building types using industry-standard software.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings , specifications, and reports for construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects and other design team members to ensure integrated and efficient designs.
- Conduct site visits for inspections, surveys, and to provide technical support during construction phases.
- Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from contractors.
- Stay updated with the latest engineering standards , building codes, and technological advancements in structural engineering.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in structural design and analysis.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000) and CAD software .
- Strong understanding of building codes, design standards (e.g., Eurocodes), and construction practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
