Our client is seeking a qualified and motivated Structural Engineer to join their established team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is integral to the design and analysis of structural components for a variety of construction projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to deliver innovative and efficient structural solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and other structures using industry-standard software.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for construction.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure seamless project integration.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Review shop drawings and calculations submitted by contractors for compliance with design intent.
- Stay current with advancements in structural engineering techniques, materials, and building codes.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in structural design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or similar.
- Solid understanding of building codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate technical information clearly.
