About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and dedicated Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Leeds . You will be responsible for the design and analysis of structural elements for a variety of building projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects across different sectors, collaborating with architects and other engineering disciplines. We are looking for an individual with a strong technical background and a passion for innovative structural solutions in the construction and engineering field.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for a range of building structures, including commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design intent is met and potential issues are resolved.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Undertake structural surveys and assessments for existing buildings, providing reports and recommendations.
- Stay updated with the latest building codes, standards, and technological advancements in structural engineering.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience as a Structural Engineer , with a good understanding of structural design principles and software (e.g., TEDDS, Revit Structure, STAAD.Pro).
- Knowledge of relevant British Standards and Eurocodes for structural design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly presenting technical information.
