Structural Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a reputable structural engineering consultancy based in Leeds , is looking for a talented Structural Engineer to join their innovative team. You will be responsible for designing and analysing structures to ensure they are safe, stable, and compliant with all relevant building regulations and standards. Working on a diverse range of projects, from commercial buildings to residential developments, you will collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design for various types of buildings and infrastructure using industry-standard software.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and design reports .
• Liaise with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure coordinated project delivery.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify design implementation and resolve any structural issues.
• Review and approve shop drawings and construction submittals.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant British Standards and building regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proven experience in structural design, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer).
• Strong understanding of building materials and construction techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
