About the Role

Our client seeks a highly qualified Structural Mechanical Engineer to join their dedicated engineering team based in Bradford . This role focuses on ensuring the structural integrity and reliability of mechanical systems and equipment through rigorous analysis and design. You will be responsible for performing complex calculations, simulations, and testing to predict and prevent structural failures. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design validation using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
• Develop and optimize mechanical designs to withstand extreme loads, stresses, and environmental conditions.
• Specify materials and manufacturing processes suitable for demanding structural applications.
• Conduct experimental testing and data analysis to validate analytical models and simulation results.
• Collaborate with design teams to integrate structural requirements into overall product development.
• Document all analysis, design decisions, and test results comprehensively and accurately.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural analysis and mechanical design.
• Proficiency with FEA software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar.
• Strong theoretical understanding of mechanics of materials, elasticity, plasticity, and fatigue analysis.
• Experience with material selection and manufacturing processes relevant to structural components.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
