Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed finite element analysis (FEA) to assess the structural integrity of mechanical designs under static and dynamic loads.
- Design and optimize mechanical components and structures to meet strength, stiffness, and durability requirements.
- Develop technical specifications, test plans, and reports for structural components.
- Work closely with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly and efficiently.
- Investigate structural failures or performance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations for structural design.
Requirements
- BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering with a strong focus on Structural Mechanics.
- 3-5 years of experience in structural analysis and mechanical design.
- Proficiency in FEA software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar.
- Solid understanding of material properties, failure theories, and structural dynamics.
- Experience with CAD software for design and model creation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and standards.
