Subsea Engineer - Offshore Oil & Gas (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Subsea Engineer to join their globally distributed engineering team, working remotely from Edinburgh, Scotland, UK . This role is vital for the design, fabrication, installation, and operation of subsea production systems for offshore Oil & Gas fields. You will be involved in conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed design phases, ensuring the integrity and performance of subsea infrastructure. This is a fully remote opportunity for an engineer with extensive offshore experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, specify, and analyze subsea equipment, including trees, manifolds, risers, and flowlines.
• Perform structural and integrity analysis for subsea components under various loading conditions.
• Develop installation procedures and support offshore operations planning.
• Collaborate with project management, fabrication yards, and installation contractors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Contribute to technical bid evaluations and vendor selection for subsea equipment.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea engineering for offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Proven experience with subsea system design, analysis, and operations.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software for design and analysis (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
• Strong knowledge of materials, welding, corrosion, and integrity management for subsea applications.
• Excellent communication and project management skills, capable of working effectively in a remote team.
