Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Subsea Engineer to join their engineering team in Bristol . This role is integral to the design, installation, and maintenance of subsea production systems for offshore oil and gas fields. You will be responsible for the technical integrity of subsea equipment, including trees, manifolds, pipelines, and control systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and operational requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of subsea engineering principles, project management, and a collaborative approach, working under a hybrid model that blends office-based design with potential site visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, specification, and analysis of subsea production equipment , including xmas trees, manifolds, and subsea structures.
• Develop and review technical drawings, calculations, and installation procedures for subsea hardware.
• Support offshore installation and commissioning activities, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting.
• Conduct integrity management activities for subsea assets, including inspection and maintenance planning.
• Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and offshore teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and best practices in subsea engineering to enhance efficiency and safety.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in subsea engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proven experience with subsea components such as wellheads, trees, manifolds, umbilicals, and control systems.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., API, ISO) and best practices for subsea operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, suitable for a hybrid working environment in Bristol .
