Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is recruiting a skilled Subsea Engineer to join their offshore projects team, based in their Edinburgh office. This role is essential for the design, installation, and maintenance of subsea infrastructure for oil and gas fields. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and operational efficiency of subsea equipment, from wellheads to pipelines and manifolds. This is a prime opportunity to work on challenging deepwater projects and contribute to the company's global portfolio, collaborating with a talented team of engineers and project managers in Scotland .

Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify subsea equipment, including trees, manifolds, and control systems.
• Develop installation procedures and supervise subsea operations, often offshore.
• Perform structural and integrity analysis for subsea components.
• Manage interfaces between subsea systems and topside facilities.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for subsea operations.
• Liaise with vendors, contractors, and clients throughout project lifecycles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Ocean, or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in subsea engineering within the offshore oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of subsea hardware, installation techniques, and relevant industry standards (e.g., API, ISO).
• Experience with subsea control systems and hydraulics.
• Familiarity with structural analysis and fatigue assessment.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
