Subsea Field Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Subsea Field Engineer to support their offshore operations, based in Edinburgh . This role involves providing technical expertise and hands-on support for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of subsea production equipment. You will work closely with offshore teams, project managers, and engineering departments to ensure the integrity and performance of subsea assets. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to complex offshore projects in the demanding oil and gas environment .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide field engineering support for subsea equipment installation and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and repair subsea systems and components offshore and onshore.
• Conduct performance monitoring and analysis of subsea production systems.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental protocols during field operations.
• Interface with clients, suppliers, and internal engineering teams on technical matters.
• Prepare technical reports, including field service reports and lessons learned.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience in subsea field operations within the oil and gas industry .
• Proficiency with subsea control systems, ROVs, and associated equipment.
• Experience with subsea installation procedures and offshore logistics.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience in challenging offshore conditions.
