Subsea Pipeline Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Subsea Pipeline Engineer to join their project engineering team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role is integral to the design, installation, and integrity management of subsea pipeline systems for offshore energy projects. You will be responsible for performing pipeline design calculations, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and efficient pipeline solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of subsea engineering principles, contributing to the successful execution of complex offshore developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering design and analysis for subsea pipelines , including routing, sizing, and stress analysis.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., DNV, API).
• Develop pipeline installation procedures and support offshore installation campaigns.
• Conduct pipeline integrity assessments , including corrosion, fatigue, and third-party interference risks.
• Collaborate with geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, and fabrication teams.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and supporting documentation for pipeline projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Ocean Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in subsea pipeline engineering , preferably within the offshore oil and gas sector.
• Proficiency in pipeline design software (e.g., OrcaFlex, SACS, Caesar II).
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, materials science, and corrosion control principles.
• Experience with pipeline installation methods and associated marine operations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a project team environment.
