About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Subsea Pipeline Engineer to join their established engineering division in Birmingham . This role focuses on the design, analysis, and integrity management of subsea pipelines for offshore energy projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical subsea infrastructure, working within a team that bridges remote collaboration with essential on-site project involvement. This position offers a chance to work on challenging international projects and contribute to the advancement of offshore energy technologies from a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed engineering design and analysis for subsea pipeline systems, including route selection and trenching requirements.
- Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for pipeline stress and fatigue assessment.
- Develop and implement pipeline integrity management plans, including inspection and maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with marine operations, fabrication teams, and clients to ensure project success.
- Oversee the fabrication and installation phases of subsea pipeline projects, providing technical support.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Offshore Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in subsea pipeline engineering .
- Proficiency with pipeline design software (e.g., OFFPIPE, OrcaFlex).
- Knowledge of offshore construction techniques and challenges.
- Experience with materials selection and corrosion protection for subsea assets.
