About the role
As a Superflex Roadside Patrol within our Patrol division, you'll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it's a flat battery, tyre change or complex fault-finding, you'll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most.
You'll work independently to diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely. Every shift brings different challenges, new locations and the opportunity to make an immediate impact when people need the RAC most.
This role is designed for technicians who can offer flexibility in support of member demand. You'll work a varied shift pattern that includes evenings, weekends and peak demand periods, helping us provide market-leading service when and where members need us most.
You'll combine technical expertise with exceptional customer service, using the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly and safely. You'll be trusted to make decisions, supported to develop your skills and equipped with everything you need to succeed.
If you're looking for greater variety, more autonomy and the opportunity to use your skills beyond the workshop, this is the role for you.
No CV required when you apply - it's easier than ever to start your journey with us.
As a Superflex Roadside Mechanic at RAC, you'll get benefits that go the extra mile
For more than 128 years, we've been keeping drivers moving, and today we're trusted by over 15 million members. We're also trusted by our people, with a 4.5-star Glassdoor rating showing that RAC is a place where support, ambition, and opportunity go hand in hand.
We welcome people from every background, value every voice, and back your growth every step of the way. At the RAC, you can bring your full self to work and we'll be with you every step of the way to help you grow and develop your career.

- A structured development programme with hands-on learning, ongoing support and the opportunity to achieve accreditation through the motor industry's professional body, the IMI.
