Supply Chain Analyst - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to optimize operations within their FMCG business in Sunderland . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers, focusing on inventory management, logistics, and demand forecasting. You will play a key part in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving the overall supply chain performance. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Develop and maintain inventory management systems to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to forecast demand accurately and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Monitor supplier performance and work to build strong, reliable supplier relationships.
• Assist in the planning and execution of logistics operations, including transportation and warehousing.
• Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, key metrics, and recommendations for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a supply chain or logistics role, preferably within the FMCG industry .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
• Familiarity with inventory management principles and supply chain software.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders in Sunderland and beyond.
