Supply Chain Analyst - FMCG

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic leader in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in Sunderland . This hybrid role is essential for optimizing inventory levels, improving logistics efficiency, and ensuring the smooth flow of products from manufacturing to the end consumer. You will leverage data analysis and forecasting techniques to enhance supply chain performance, reduce costs, and contribute to the overall operational excellence of our client's robust network.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
• Develop demand forecasts and inventory plans to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations for FMCG products.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on supply chain efficiency, cost, and service levels.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, production, sales) and external partners (suppliers, logistics providers) to streamline operations.
• Identify opportunities to reduce supply chain costs through process improvements and efficiency gains.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and best practices within the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Supply Chain Analyst role, ideally within the FMCG sector .
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar.
• Experience with supply chain planning and inventory management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
